About the Dinner
Irasshaimase! This is the customary greeting from the staff when you enter any Japanese eatery. As you are ushered to your seat, you are hit with a multitude of aromas: savoury, sweet, smoky. At izakayas (Japanases pubs), this is a welcome sign of the tasty plates of food that are about to come: saucy yakitori (chicken skewers), soft agedashi tofu (tofu with spring onions and soy sauce), crispy okonomiyaki (bacon and cabbage pancake) plus many other umami-rich shareable dishes. Experience all that without having to fly to Tokyo or Osaka. Accompanying the tapas-style Japanese meal are ice-cold Sapporo, Asahi and an assortment of sake. Kampai! (Cheers!)
